A Social Network Geared Toward Building a National Motorcyclist Association
I hope everyone is doing well.
I'd bet you would not come close to realizing what it has taken to keep World of Soul Motorcycle Community afloat. It's an interesting story. Sometimes we actually sank, but rose again.
Thankfully, we've had some sponsors and a few donations from members. I truly appreciated all of the help at the onset.
But all of that dried up quickly and I continued to fund.
I often talk about the event we held in 2009 at Dr. King's place of rest in Atlanta. That cost me over $26,000 in money, time and resources to plan and produce the occasion. I could afford that back then. I can't now. It's been awhile since I was able to do that.
I have always viewed this as a spiritual endeavor to be a vehicle for change. And for the most part we have made a difference. I say WE but at times it's been just me. The credit has always gone to the brand.
Talk about struggles. I've walked away from 2 houses, an office building, an S-Class Mecedes Benz and 2 Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the process to keep this alive.
All that shine is not gold....and trouble don't last always. I believe in the end there are riders out there that share our (my) values.
Like Jesse says, keep hope alive. :-)
