a progressive motorcycle enthusiast organization
Being around on the set for 20 years I feel it is my duty to tell all the F-N-G's a word of advice. It is ok for you to keep your inexperienced opinions and untested theories to yourselves. I dont wanna have an arguement with a guy who just started rolling a month ago. I know we are told that all brothers are equal in status and thats true to the extent that you do have all full patch rights and priviledges. But when it comes to dishing out advice on bussiness matters most simply dont have the wisdom or experience to do so. I see far too much "debating" going on when some should be listening and deferring to coventional wisdom. I think its lightweight disrespectful to see see a young member trying to go toe-to-toe with with a 20 plus year member. You should have big ears and a little mouth until you have some time under your belts. Dont believe your own hype, because I have found that until you get at least 5yrs in you may not last. Thats how us old guys think. Talk to your elders and be a sponge for information thats how you grow. Ask yourself this question, what have i contributed to my organization? Have I defended it in a crisis? Most of the guys(not all)who have been around for long periods have had their mettle tested or been gut checked. That is something that comes with time. I hope that when when the time comes you are willing and able to back all that bravado and ego up. Lastly, please dont search for wisdom in other new guys,Ray Charles cant lead Stevie Wonder. Humble yourselves a little and become as assett to your respective organizations.
