I understand your dilemna...best of luck as you make this transition...moving from the Right Coast to the Left Coast is a major job in and of itself, to say nothing of the day to day things that must continue to be worked! Just let us know when you get situated in the San Jose area and we'll get together when you have the time. Otherwise, keep the rubber side down and ride safe! Tree
Hey Brother, this is Tree from the Iron Souls MC of Oakland, California...we welcome you to the Golden Bear State! We have about 50 Members (some live in as far Bay Area south as Union City and Fremont and as far north as Sacramento, where I live) from all over the Oakland/SF Bay Area and we, like you, love to ride our HD motorcycles. Some of us are headed to the National Bikers' Roundup on Sunday, July 31, 2011 and others of us are heading to DC, around August 20, for the opening of the MLK Memorial on the National Mall.
Let me/us know when you make it to Cally full-time, or whenever you are here and maybe we can get together to take a ride. Again, welcome to Cally, Brother! Tree
Hey, the ride to Delaware was nice until we were almost back at home. There was an accident on I-495 Northbound. All of the drivers going Southbound were "rubber necking". A pick-up truck in front of us was not paying attention and when he looked up he saw stop lights. He locked up his brakes. Our lead rider, (Moe, the guy you met at the meeting) had to lock it up to keep from running into the back of him. Moe and another of our riders (Poke) went down.
Both are doing fairley well considering. Poke has four cracked ribs and bruises. Moe has a soft cast on his right hand and his left arm is in a sling.
I spoke with both of them and they are doing well. Just sore and bruised.
