Hey Satin if you make it to Louisville for Derby, I promise you there will be much to do. Normally D2R holds a Derby Party but I'm unsure of the plans since I am away. Theres the 100 Black Men Ball and occassionly some local celeberty holds a high dollar party and also there will be other MC parties that you can support. Trust me on this you and your friends will have much to do.As for reservations make them NOW...Room prices sky rocket during that time and you may have to stay just outside Louisville. Let me know what your plans are and if I can assist you with anything holla back at me. I will be back in the states by then. Peace and hope to see you in May
Thanks for replying. Yeap. My goal is to be there and celebrate my b-day weekend. Our intent is to make reservations SOON as I have heard that rooms go fast and the prices go up. I would luv 2 meet u and the rest of the riders to show us around to the other 'parties' that will be going on there. I am hopeful that the weather will be nice and no very cold and/or wet weather.
Come back to the states soon!!!
What's going on Sis?
So sorry for a late response but I just so happened to check this section on my page and seen your question. First, and foremost is you'll need to hurry up and make some reservations because the rooms sell out so quick during Derby time. As a matter of fact, most hotels will sell out soon as the Derby weekend has ended the previous year so the sooner the better would be best at this point.
With Louisville not being a big city you most everything will be centrally located as far as getting to the track is concerned. I would personally recommend those hotels closest to the interstates. Our main interstate will be I-65 and I-264. The closer to the downtown area will probably also be best. Most bikers will definetly be hanging out at Cole's Place fka Screaming Eagles. Once you hit that spot you'll find plenty of folks that will have suggestions about to what to do or where the happening events are that will be going on that weekend.
If I can be of any further assistance for ya just send me an email.
Thanks for the 'heads up'. I am very excited about doing this and most importantly enjoying by birthday weekend. I will probably have questions closer to the event. I will hit you up at that time. Hope to see u there.
