Civic Engagement - Voter Registration

Okay, so you say your club is heavily engaged in the community.  That's great! 

But when it comes to civic education and voter registration, where does your club stand?

I'd bet many of you are already involved in voter registration.  Yet there are many that are not.

This election year brings about a great opportunity to expand our outreach and demonstrate as a community our ability to make an impact. Because politics and the electoral process determines who gets what, when, where and why, it is imperative that our collective voice is heard.

As already stated, voter registration is already being accomplished by some and soon others will join in what can be considered a civic responsibility.  We want to take control of our destiny by being actively involved and help others to appreciate and understand how our government works.  It starts with you....and its another great way of saying this is my country too.  That's right.  Take ownership.

How people will we register in 2012?  So many of you are involved in voter registration.  We'd like to know who you are.  Where you are located and the impact that you are making locally. By combining those numbers when can gauge how we are doing nationally.

So to gather this information we have added a page to the World of Soul Motorcycle Community website. We hope that you will take the time to input your information so that we can include in the total amount of people having been registered by the motorcycle community. This is our chance to make a statement that takes us from where we are to where we ought to be.

When you are incorporating voter registration with an event, let us know so that we can promote it.  We want to help raise awareness about the important work you are doing.
