The Alternative to Joining an MC

Although joining an MC club may be luring, there are other options. If you are a Harley-Davidison owner, you may want to consider the Harley Owners Group, also known as H.O.G. A local chapter can be found by contacting a Harley-Davidson dealer near you. Goldwing Riders Association also provide similar experience for Honda Goldwing riders. They too can be found at the local dealership. Motorcycle Ministries combine the camaraderie, riding and spiritual experience in one group. Masonic, law enforcement, veterans groups, etc. are also among the many alternative options available. But being an independent rider also remains the number one choice for those wanting to remain drama free!

World of Soul Motorcyclists Association provides another alternative for independant riders who want to identify with an organization and still maintain their independence.   It remains available to club members who want to identify with an organization whose mission is in harmony with their spirit.

The road to the World of Soul Motorcyclists Association experience begins here...

THIS IS ALSO FOR ASSOCIATES . SUCH AS MYSELF. YOU DONT HAVE TO BELONG TO A CLUB AT ALL. YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE IT IN YOU SO IT SHOWS IN SOME WAY THAT TRU4LIFE LIVE2RIDE RIDE2LIVE FOLKS 'ALLOW' YOU TO EXIST AMOUNG THEM. BEST ADVICE....KNOW  WHERE YOU FIT IN. DONT FAKE

Brothers and Sisters of the WOSMC,

I've been riding ever since my high school years and now 61years of age and still have the love for two wheels.

Being from Hawaii and now living here in Oakland California I find the set is quite different. I have always thought my self as a human being with a good personality and easy to make friends, and I have. Being a member of a motorcycle club (MC) has works for me. True, as a independent rider I meet a lot of great people and gone to a lot of great locations. But being a patch wearing member of a MC ( To me) enhanced all that. It was much easier for me to work within the community of Oakland being patched in. I would not have been able to participate in a lot of the activities (as a working part of ) put on by the patch wearing clubs. Our club The Iron Souls MC works with outreach organizations, Little leg baseball teams, Back to school programs,Christmas toy give away and more. You can not do that alone. You have to be a part of an club or an organization like The Word Of Souls Motorcycle Community. To me my club( ISMC) makes my ride that much sweeter.

I'm still undecided about joining a club, leaning
towards staying indep...or finding a local Riding Club,
If there in existence in this area...

If you read my comment I pasted on May 2010. Just last night I was confronted by a fellow that has watched 15 episodes of some show that tells how bikers take over places and muscle there way in. And If you are not a three rocker patch you are not a real club. It is people like him that can cause you to loose your temper but be a better man. The word is IGNORANCE. He knows nothing but what the TV tells him but he wants to broad cast it. That he number one on the subject. Again I say a club is ok. To ride Independant is ok. Know who you are inside the bikes doese not dictate that. Life is too good to waste it on dummys just ride in peace

Being a independent rider is great to me.Riding for 10 years now and I never had a desire to join a club. All i need is a flyer to an event and if interested i am there with a friend or two or riding solo.Who knows,I could change my mind one day but for now being independent works

For me the reason I have not join a MC is a matter of time. I just don't have the time is required for meetings, rides and all the other things that go with joining a club. Right now my top priority in my son and law school.

There are a couple of MC's I would consider joining, but they are not close to me in a geographical way.....2 in the Atl area, 1 in the Raleigh-Durham area and 2 in the DC area. They all share the same interest that I do in motorcycling....Customizing, Cummunity Services, Partying/Having a good responsible time and RIDING THE HELL OUT OF THEIR BIKES. Until I can hook up with a MC like this, I'll stay Independent!!!!!

I agree...drama free is the way 2b, however I have joined club so that I have other adults with me who have similar interests, kids, and like to have some grown and sexy fun...sometimes I get lonely just on the road with one-and I have learned more in the group than I ever would have by my-self...this way me and the hubby can enjoy ourselves and still keep the fire going even on the open road. But I still can live without all the drama!

I'm not a member of a MC because I do enjoy riding with who ever wants to get in the wind. I ride by myself a lot because I like stopping where I want or just going as far as I want. I have rode out with different MC's and I enjoy being in the company of good people where we all have a common interest. . . . . .riding motorcycles, so I don't feel I need to join a club to be there. SO LET'S RIDEOUT!!!!!!!

If the club starts to have much drama it will be time for me to ride by myself again but now everything is just fine. Thank I enjoyed all the information that was given about Motorcycle clubs I will pass it around

Right on Bruce! I agree with you, it's all about how you carry yourself. I go to all types of events, a lot of times riding alone. Never have any problems.

All I have to say is you don't have to act bad to be respected. You can earn more respect by being a good rider, and a rider that gets out there than trying to act like a bad ass. Over the years I have witnessed men get a bike and over night they thing they are superman. This is very true for those that buy harley davidsons. Don't read those magizines that tells of the biker life. The Biker life is not guns or drugs, it is a love afair between you ,your bike and the road. And if you are afraid to go by yourself then learn not to be afraid of the dark. I have roamed the United States and never, I mean never had a problem. I don't start any mess but will not accept any mess. But be firm and you shall earn respect to the point of not being afraid of the dark. I been on a been riding for 43 years owned a harley for 33 of those years. I know what happens it did to me. So be the good man and no man will want to mess with you alone or with the colors. RESEPCT is the key

Go to the drop down menu at the top of this page. There is a '1 piece patch' heading there. It may clear up some of the fog for you.

There's also for HONDA riders HRCA , HONDA Riders Club of America, also found at your local HONDA dealer or their website hrcashop.com.

To piggyback on Ms Angel, what about the one piece. Anyone have any info on this?
Comment by Ms. Angel Reeves on February 27, 2009 at 5:01pm
Hello, I have been riding since I was 15. And started out in the Zodiacs for 20 yrs. I enjoy this site and have a lot of friends all over the world on this site. So I just have one question if I may. You talk about a three piece patch, and a 2 piece patch, so what about the 1 piece patch. All of the information you have on this site should be shared with all of the new comers starting their own clubs. Because they don't have a clue. Have a blessed day. much love.
