Clean, and a safe place where I can keep an eye on my bike is most important.

I prefer motorcycle themed hotels or cabins.

Thank you all for the seriousness in which you approached answering the survey.  The above survey is now closed.  It is clear that our members by a margin of 4 to 1 prefer less amenities over added amenities at a higher price on long distance motorcycle trips .

Rest is always important, but as long as there is a bed or couch, a view to see my bike and food? All the extra amenities will be better appreciated when I reach my destination.

its the road trip and journey that is key here. the hotel is just a place to stay for a night or so and thus I would not spend $$$$ just because of the purks which I will not enjoy any ways-pool, spa, weight room etc. also room with a view of my bike is important as well..don't want to wake up and have to take the Grey Hound back home-geah!

It varies on which city I am going to. I like two be able to see my bike from my room, if with a group we all park,as a group. That so the bikes are safe, in LA you really have to pick where you stay. Motel 6, Hyatt, Extended Stay have all been cool.

Biker friendly motels and hotels. The summer of 2010; me and my girl went on a 32 day; 27 state ride. We stayed mostly at BEST WESTERNS, because of their biker program. Most was great.

Most of the time when you ride a long time, all you care about is laying down, and take a shower, getting you something to eat, and a place to keep your bike safe.
