Whats good osbr fam just got back from another road trip to Austin to party with my bros at the REpublic of Texas rally. And as yall know i got a road story. I roll in bout 1:30 pm and sun has beat me down and the first thing someone says the beer aint cold yet and another guys bike is down.
I think to myself everyman for himself and wheres the store, but the biker in me walks over to check out the bike. Its one of the sweetest harleys you ever seen pissing hydralic clutch fluid all over the parking lot.

the guys ask can u fix it i look at him and say yes i got tools on my bike wheres yours? Ok dumb look #1 How you on a road trip with no tools! And next thing my good harley friends says is Dont get that fluid on my bike. Dumb look #2 r u kidding me! needless to say i fixed the bike and this smart guy says to me you rice burners are all right.

I`ve experienced the same thing when I lived in the ATL. Saw a Brotha with a ZX7 stopped on the side of I 20 scratchin his head so I decided to pull over and double back. Keep in mind I was way over in the HOV lane doing 75 when I saw him. I rolled down the shoulder and approached the cat and he looked at me like I was crazy! The Brotha was clueless not only about bikes but protocol as well! Turns out he had a battery with no acid in it and didn`t understand why his bike wouldn`t run. Needless to say I got him going again and made sure he got home  barely got a thank you. Talk about gratitude. No big deal to me but I do believe in karma and would welcome some assistance if I were stranded on the side of the road!

I been down that road too! Stopped to help out a brother who looked at me like I was alien! Brother G the man was stranded and still wanted no part of my wisdom???wtf! I been messen with bikes since there was Montessa, Bultaco and Hodaka, Norton and such I started on Indian. These cats don't know protocol and don't want to. Just call for service and pay a $600.00 bill because the bike ran out of gas!

My thinking is that there are many more riders who haven`t been around long enough to understand that they should acknowledge each other while were on the road. Then again....too many of us don`t understand common courtesy. I know I wave to every biker I see on the road regardless of make...race...creed...whatever. If I see you on the side of the road I`m the first to lend assistance. You never know where your help or angels will come from. Treat people the way you expect to be treated!!

Brutha "Slow", I wouldn't say naturally(I am from NY. lol) but I just go way back and I guess the last couple of decades(dam) things just ain't as respectful as it used to be. I still gone be using my wave. 1

Bro Jackson.. you're probably just naturally friendly.. i run into the same thing.. if i don't give them the sign they give me the wave??? i notice when i go through small towns they seem more friendly..   Who knows what to do?                                   Stay cool..

Is it just me or has the "wave" gone missing? Bruthas used to put up the fist, Others put up the wave hand straight and on the low. Today I ride by with the wave on  and bikers don't even acknowledge old school protocol anymore. What up wit dat family?
